CAMP Research
The aim of CAMP is to innovate computer-based material research and initiate interdisciplinary research projects in line with FAU’s key research priorities. As the overarching unit for computer-based research at the FAU Competence Center Engineering of Advanced Materials (FAU EAM), CAMP coordinates interdisciplinary research within the FAU EAM and functions as direct link to the FAU Competence Center for Scientific Computing (FAU CSC).

CAMP Training
CAMP facilitates the transfer of knowledge using state-of-the-art techniques and models. We offer explicit and tailored training for both young and experienced researchers in the field of computer-based material modelling. This enables a kick-start into computational material sciences, programming and data management for large-scale simulations. Our training sessions further enable networking in a diverse and respectful environment.

CAMP Members
CAMP unites experts in computational material engineering to foster interdisciplinarity and innovation. Our members are drawn from a wide range of disciplines including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Material Sciences, Data Sciences, Mechanical Engineering and Chemical and Biological Engineering. Together, we cover the full spectrum of theoretical material research from atomic to mesoscale and to macroscopic models, with a strong focus on AI and machine learning.
